Just heard from Michael Gilbert who was attending the recent Photokina show in Koln, Germany:

Sometimes I like using a small photo album like the Kolo Luxury Cortina that I used here, to get the impact of a single image per page. Some very strong photographs need to be presented by themselves, because other pictures on the same page or opposite page can steal the focus from a great photo.

The image or subject matter determines which type of photo corner or adhesive I choose to use. In this case, clear photo corners allow the viewer to look at the photograph without any distractions. Here, you can see that the clear photo corners allow the image to float on the page.

Since I print all my own photographs, I can add a thin line around the border, like I did here, to give a photo a clean and neat look. I do all the borders in Photoshop.
