Saturday 11th Oct 2008 |
A colorful Kolo event at c!ty’super's Log-On location at Festival Walk in Kowloon Tong, is attracting patrons like bees to honey. In case you're not familiar, c!ty'super, in a nutshell, is an urban retail mecca -- a high-end, mega lifestyle and gourmet supermarket chain with several Hong Kong locations including Log-On, and two stores in Taipei, Taiwan. Log-On focuses on stationery, home decor, accessories and kitchenware. And not the usual stuff you can find anywhere. Just the good stuff. And plenty of it. The entire store is eye candy. The Kolo sample album projects are worth devoting a chunk of your time perusing. These will get the creative juices flowing. Check out New York illustrator/toy-maker extraordinaire Steve Light's sea monster sculpture rising out of a large red Kolo Havana Box, and the accompanying planning books of drawings he created with a mango Kolo Luxury Cortina and Kolo Vineyard photo album in "leaf." Also displayed are several Kolo albums showing off the unique style of Indonesian artist and designer Lie Fhung. There are many other imaginative samples of local Hong Kong artists and photographers, designed to show how to bring photography to life through books and book art. If you awake this morning to find yourself in Hong Kong, get over to Log-On and check this out. The Kolo Event at Log-On ends October 23rd. More photos of this event are here. Check out c!ty'super online. - Ugo |
