The Skeleton Dance | |

A little treat for All Hallows Eve: The Skeleton Dance was the first animation by A Silly Symphony series and was released in the United States in 1929. It was directed and produced by Walt Disney and animated by Ub Iwerks. Music by Carl W. Stalling. It was the first animated cartoon to use post-synch sound. (So there's the trick.) In 1994 members of the animation field voted The Skeleton Dance #18 of The 50 Greatest Cartoons of All Time. (More importantly, one of Steve Light's all-time faves. Here ya go, Steve -- enjoy.) (Thanks for sharing this one, Steve! Doesn't this make you want to draw skeletons?) Happy Halloween For more visit Wikipedia. - Ugo |
