Here's some inspiration for all you doodlers out there: This little drawing by Barack Obama fetched $2,075 (U.S.) in an online eBay charity auction last May, and today is worth much, much more, now that the artist is headed to the Oval Office. (Yes, he can draw, too!) President-Elect Obama did not have to look far for inspiration. While on the Senate floor last year, he sketched what he saw in front of him: (left to right) fellow Senators Chuck Schumer, Majority Leader Harry Reid, Dianne Feinstein of California and Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts. (Some claim the last one is House Speaker Dennis Hastert...?) So take heart all you artists and budding artists, and get out your Kolo Newports, Kolo Noci's and Moleskines, and doodle away. There could be money in it. Check out this interesting analysis of Barack Obama's handwriting. For more on this story, click here. |
