A project from our friend, Chicago photographer Kelli Taylor: My grandmother was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and has always adored photography. So for this Christmas I created a Family Facebook: close-up candids of her, her children, grandchildren, and great grandbabies. Laughing moments, quiet moments, and everything in between. The common denominator is smiles, and there are 36 pages of them. The Kolo Cortina Lux photo album provided a perfect home, and I’d like to try it in a Kolo Riva photo album next, for family members who’ve requested additional copies. As Kelli explains in Comments, she was inspired by a panoramic album technique that photographer Michael Gilbert showed us in a previous post here. See more of Kelli Taylor's photography here. Another Koloist post about this project appears here. Also, you can see more photos of this project on Ugo's flickr page. - Ugo |
