Kelli -- I love what you've done here, bumping one photo up right against the other, bringing the photos to the edge of the page and ignoring the gutter. It's not the obvious thing to do, and it looks great. How did you get the photos to bend at the center in the first layout?

Hey HC,

I’m so happy you like it. I actually borrowed the idea from Michael Gilbert’s post here on Koloist back in September. He does these really beautiful panoramic spreads with the photograph lying directly across the fold. They look fantastic, but my photo paper was a little too thick to achieve the same look. So I improvised by cutting the picture in half and adhering it as close to the crease as possible (Kolo’s photo tape gun works really well for a tight, crisp mount like this.)

I loved the look, especially when seen as a whole… there’s another duplicate black and white photo on the left page, which gives it the look of one continuous piece of photo film. So fun to play around with unexpected layouts.

Hello Kelli....I am so amazed at what you see through the lens as a moment in time and yet it becomes an art form.
What wonderful perception.

Love the stylish look here! I especially love how you combined the color and b&w photos there - very cool and timeless!
