One project's junk is another project's treasure. Excellent idea, patrick! Love all the color in these shots. This makes me want to go back through my images and see what I've misjudged and rejected.

Sweet idea -- can anyone actually read the photographs we take in the way some people can read our fortune in tarot cards?

Interesting thought.

really like this idea to play around with photos u thought were rejects. I'm trying it out.

how was it, painting the covers of the book? i mean, was it easy or a a little tricky?

how did you keep paint off the kolo tag? did you paint the end leaves of the book, too? did u tape your edges? and if so, what kind of tape did you use, and did it come off easily? i want to try this. like the color of my book (it is black) but this just looks like fun.

It was pretty easy. I used acrylic paints, which can be diluted with water and dries pretty permanent, you can still wash off unwanted accidents before it dries.

Painting around the KOLO tag was easy. Paint with diluted color and gradually sip more condensed paint beneath the tag using a very flat brush. You don't need to use tapes this way.

I like the fact that the KOLO fabric looks like a canvas, sprang the idea to paint over it. I'm gonna paint more on the cover and create an album for my son..... within 2009 ;)
