Look closely: That's one photograph on the left, and 12 cropped photographs on the right. Cupid shows up everywhere this time of year. Here he appeared in the window of a London playhouse during a Valentine promotion. Patrick Ng shot these photos while doing market research there, and later mounted them onto this black Kolo Newport cloth-hinged page during a recent "Travel Photo Cafe" event, which he hosted: The concept and subsequent promotion of Travel Photo Cafe led to an interesting gathering with people who love to travel and take photos. The gathering was held at Times Square (Hong Kong) city'super's culture club classroom, which is usually used for regular cooking classes but was borrowed by me for a pleasant afternoon chat. About this project, Patrick explains: The layout was done in Photoshop -- it was easy to scale/crop the shop names. I added the captions in Photoshop and printed on photo paper before sticking them into the KOLO album. Here's to more of these Travel Photo Cafe get-togethers, and more cool layouts like this.
