"Dream Archives" Begins | |
|
Friday 15th May 2009 |
Last week, Lie Fhung showed us a hauntingly poignant work of art she created called Impediment. She made it using a Kolo Havana Box. Impediment was antecedent to a project she has been planning for quite some time, called Dream Archives in which she'll create several "portals" using Kolo Havana Boxes. High up in her Discovery Bay studio overlooking the lush green hills of Lantau Island, she's just gotten started on Dream Archives, and promises to post images here on Koloist as her project progresses. Here I've cut a rectangular hole in the lid, and applied some thin acrylic paint and ink on the outer parts of the box. I'm waiting for the ink and paint to be completely dry before continuing with the next step... If you're curious to know more about Lie Fhung, her biography and photo now appear on Koloist in the right hand side bar under Contributors. (Click on her name.) |

you're making a peep hole of sorts?
And yes, you can take a peek then open the lid if you wish.
@ HC: you won't have to wait for long ;)
