Can’t skate like Tony or Jay, or surf, or even strut… but this Kolo Essex can just hang out here at the boardwalk at 34°1'19" North, 118°28'53" West, look cool and pose with the best of ‘em. (It’s a mad, mad, mad, mad world.) It can also showcase beautiful photos of a beloved hometown.

Don't you wish you could always have with you a little piece of home?

Santa Monica, California, my hometown, has so many iconic landmarks and I've included some of them in a Kolo Essex Travel Book:

* Station 26 Lifeguard station
* The Santa Monica Carousel and Ferris Wheel
* Vintage postcards from the early 1900’s of Santa Monica
* A vintage map of Santa Monica from 1940 (which includes the neighborhood where I grew up - Ocean Park)
* A glassine envelope where you can add a Santa Monica bus token or some other trinket

The rest is for my family and friends to fill with whatever they consider to be their personal pieces of home.
