Congratulations to our friend and Koloist Contributor, photojournalist Mikki Ansin. Her photograph, Beloved Baby, was selected by The Center for Fine Art Photography jury to appear in the 2009 Black and White Exhibition. Along with 53 other images chosen from among 2,200 submissions, Beloved Baby will be displayed on the Center's online gallery and at the physical gallery in Fort Collins, Colorado August 28 - September 16, 2009. The juried selections represent works from 7 countries.

About the image, Mikki said:

I took this long ago in Qufu, China, in the Temple of Confucius. The woman stepped into the ray of light for one split second and I snapped. Really, I think this photo jumped into my camera.
