Scrapbooks let you intensify the memory experience with visual clues. A packet of bean seeds is just right next to the photo of fresh beans in a basket -- but it's not overly literal, since the spread includes carrots, too. On the closing layout, we taped a list of the vegetables the farm stand owner sold and a heart-shaped leaf (this page will get an archival plastic protector sheet) before the final shot of the ancient stove, which will endure long after the season is past.
