What's In Your Kolo Window? | |
|
Friday 28th Aug 2009 |
Show us your Kolo cover windows! We'll show the best entries here on Koloist.com, Kolo Facebook and Flickr (both Ugo the Koloist's Flickr page and the Kolo Group page on Flickr). Of all entries received by Sept 30, 2009, midnight (U.S. eastern time), five will be selected to receive prizes of Kolo archival albums, boxes and accessories. Submissions will be judged by professional photographers and designers. Submit as many photos of your Kolo windows as you like. The opinions of Koloist.com visitors (that's you) will be taken into account, so feel free to post comments about your faves. (Anyone can post comments on Koloist - there's no need to register, just click on "comment" - top left.) To submit your Kolo window photo(s), send as an email attachment to kolowindows@kolo-usa.com . Write "Kolo Cover Window" in the subject line. For creative inspiration, here are four examples of some great Kolo windows we've seen. Clockwise starting top left: 1. Steve Light is a New York City artist, children's book author, toy maker and teacher. This is the window of a Kolo Luxury Cortina in platinum (red endleaves) that he used to create a book "City Dragons," filled with his original art. (See more of this project here and here.) 2. Kelli Taylor is a Chicago photographer. She filled these chartreuse Kolo Noci albums with some of her favorite recipes and created the photos with text in the cover windows in Photoshop. For more on this project go here. 3. Jen Gotch is a California photographer and Polanoid with a fun Polaroid blogspot. We love her bashful self-portrait, cropped small so that it "floats" in the cover window of her ivory Kolo Newbury. For more on this project go here. 4. Patrick Ng of Hong Kong is a creative opinion leader and fan of stationery/photography products, and editor of the popular blog Scription, Thoughts on Stationery and Beyond. He cut tiny thumbnail photos of his boy from a photo developer's index card, and created this diminutive photo collage in a mango Kolo Cortina window. For more on this project, go here. -Ugo |
