Is Your Dream in the Universal Scrapbook Yet? | |

Monday 5th Oct 2009 |
Thanks to artist Lie Fhung for this sneak peek at one of the submissions to her Universal Scrapbook, the public participation part of her Dream Archives art installation, sponsored by Kolo. This artwork is a digital scrapbooking mock-up, created by Lie Fhung with an element submitted by someone who wishes to remain anonymous. Fhung explains: She emailed me a quote from Edith Piaf's song (I think it is from 'Padam Padam') with "Je t'aime" heading on it, and mentioned an old sad love story in Paris. I happened to have some photos of the Eiffel Tower that I took during my trip in 2006, so this is what I came up with. I combined two photos together and manipulated the coloring. When complete, Fhung will add this artwork to the Universal Scrapbook, which she is creating with a new Kolo Kaji, a 12x12 top-load post-bound album. Dream Archives and the Universal Scrapbook will exhibit internationally, beginning in November at SiGiarts Gallery in Jakarta, Indonesia. If you would like to submit something for the Universal Scrapbook, for info go here. - Ugo |
