"Berlin Through My Lens" Exhibition sponsored by Kolo, Nov. 9-30, 2009 | |
|
Monday 12th Oct 2009 |
Members of the creative community of Berlin will share their varied interpretations of their city, each using a blank Kolo book as their canvas. If you’re an artist, painter, photographer, poet or writer, there is still time to submit your vision of this magical place known as The Millennium City. Drop off your finished Berlin Kolo book at Hauptsache at Rosenthaler Strasse 32 in Berlin, by October 30, 2009 for review by a committee of creative professionals. A selection of submissions will be chosen for Kolo’s “Berlin Through My Lens” Exhibition, a self-guided tour to take place November 9-30, 2009 throughout Berlin at these five fine retail shops. If you’re in Berlin, be sure to stop by and see each unique interpretation of the city at the following Berlin locations: Aarven at Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse 2; Hauptsache at Rosenthaler Strasse 32 ; Leporello at Rykestrasse 46; Monochrom-Berlin at Ackerstrasse 23-26; and Sieben Wuensche at Tucholskystrasse 45. For more info, go here. Feel free to post any questions here. - Ugo |

Yes, you are welcome to participate, but you would need to mail your Kolo book to Berlin to arrive on or before Oct. 30, 2009.
If you are interested in doing that, please send me an email by clicking on "contact" in the side bar of this blog, and I will email you the address where you can send your Kolo book.
@ Elisandra: In Berlin, Kolo photo albums and blank books are sold at these locations:
Aarven at Rosa-Luxemburg-Strasse 2
Hauptsache at Rosenthaler Strasse 32
Leporello at Rykestrasse 46
Monochrom-Berlin at Ackerstrasse 23-26
Sieben Wuensche at Tucholskystrasse 45
(These are the same retail locations participating in this exhibition.)
The exhibition will take place for 3 weeks in Berlin, then go on tour. Not sure Kolo has the tour schedule nailed down yet, but will be sure to provide that info on this blog.
Yes, you many submit multiple Kolo books for consideration for this exhibition.
The books will go on an exhibition tour in various cities throughout the world for about a year, then they will be returned to the artists. When you submit your Kolo book, be sure to include your name and return shipping address.
