Artist and children’s book author Steve Light continues to create imaginative art projects with Kolo products. Most recently, Steve transformed Kolo Allegro Photo Corners into playful rabbits for his Easter cards. The simple shape allows Steve experiment creatively with them in various clever art projects. Last Wednesday, March 24th, Ina Reimer demonstrated different illustration techniques using a red Kolo Newbury photo album at the opening event of the “Berlin Through My Lens” Exhibition. The evening was hosted by Hugendubel, Steinweg 12, Frankfurt am Main. As an illustrator and communications designer, Ina's work is greatly impacted by various artistic techniques. Mainly, her work focuses on character and concept art design with strong influences from comics, graffiti and computer graphics. The young artist was born in Offenbach, Germany, a small city outside of Frankfurt am Main and is now working as a freelance designer. The exhibition, a free self-guided walking tour, will be in Frankfurt for four weeks (March 23rd-April 24th) at three of Frankfurt’s finest specialty shops. For more information, go here. -Kate |

Opening of "Berlin Through My Lens" Exhibition in Frankfurt | |

The opening evening of the “Berlin Through My Lens” Exhibition in Frankfurt was held last night at Hugendubel, Steinweg 12. All who attended the event were inspired by the various interpretations of Berlin told by Berlin’s creative community. Through their Kolo book, each individual artist shared their unique view of Berlin and the impact the city has had on their life. Ina Reimer, a young artist and illustrator in Frankfurt, demonstrated different artistic techniques throughout the night encouraging visitors to tell their story. Check back later to see her Kolo book. If you're in Frankfurt during the next few weeks, be sure to stop by one of these three locations: Galerie Hake, Leipziger Strabe 35; Hugendubel, Steinweg 12; and Schmidt’s Papeterie & Wohnaccessoirs, Schweizer Straße 67 (from April 3-April 24 due to a new store opening). Opening Night Reception Wednesday, March 24th: From 8:30 to 11 P.M. For anyone planning to be in Frankfurt, Germany over the next few weeks, be sure to stop by and see the exhibition. All are invited to join us for the opening reception of the "Berlin Through My Lens” Exhibition which is opening this week in Frankfurt, having moved from Berlin. The evening will be hosted by Hugendubel, Frankfurt’s premier bookstore, located at Steinweg 12, Frankfurt am Main. All are invited to attend to view the various interpretations of Berlin by Berlin’s creative community of painters, poets, photographers and other artists. In addition, illustrator Ina Reimer will be demonstrating artistic techniques during the opening reception. The reception is free and there will be complementary food and drink. Please stop by and see the work.
